AHI Hosts Greece’s Top Defense Officials for Thanksgiving

WASHINGTON, DC —The American Hellenic Institute (AHI) hosted Greece’s top defense officials for Thanksgiving dinner at the Hotel Grande Bretagne in Athens.

AHI President Nick Larigakis hosted Greek Minister of Defense Nikos Panagiotopoulos and his wife, Natasa; and the entire Hellenic National Defense General Staff, led by Chief of the HNDGS General Konstantinos Floros, and their wives, for Thanksgiving Dinner. AHI Athens Chapter President George Economou and Vice President Vasileios Kyriazis, retired vice admiral, H.N., also attended the dinner.

“On the occasion of when we celebrate Thanksgiving in the United States, I had the extremely high honor to host a Thanksgiving Dinner for Greece’s top defense officials as our way to convey our gratitude and thanks for their diligent and unending efforts to keep Greece safe, defend its sovereignty, and to counter malign influences.”

The American Hellenic Institute is a non-profit Greek American public policy center and think tank that works to strengthen relations between the United States and Greece and Cyprus, and within the Greek American community.
