WASHINGTON, DC – The American Hellenic Institute (AHI) is pleased to announce the hire of Elias Gerasoulis as the Institute’s Legislative Assistant.

“We are excited and fortunate to have Elias join our staff,” AHI President Nick Larigakis said. “During his time at the University of Pennsylvania, Elias served in many capacities that required a significant amount of responsibility and accountability.  The legislative experience he gained through his internships working for both Congress and the United Nations, and his demonstrated passion for international affairs, will be a tremendous asset to our mission.”

Elias Gerasoulis graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in European History. Elias was also a participant of the 2015 AHI Foundation Student Foreign Policy trip and spoke at the future of Hellenism conference in 2015 and 2017. He is originally from Edison, New Jersey.

“I am deeply grateful and honored to work for AHI,” Gerasoulis stated. “The Institute has tirelessly promoted and defended Hellenism. I look forward to contributing to this important cause."

Throughout his collegiate career, Elias gained legislative experience as an intern for U.S. Congressman Tom MacArthur and the Greek Permanent Mission to the United Nations, to which he served as a Summer Adviser. He also was involved in Penn’s Greek-American organization and was on the board of PIPAC, Penn’s pro-Israel advocacy group.
