WASHINGTON, DC Ekathimerini, a daily newspaper published in Athens, Greece, published an interview with American Hellenic Institute (AHI) President Nick Larigakis, January 15, 2018, on the occasion of the Institute’s joint three-country International Leadership Mission with Greek American and Jewish American community leaders to Greece, Cyprus and Israsel. President Larigakis gave a preview of the Mission and Washington’s perspective of the trilateral partnership and discussed other Greek American policy issues with Kathimerini Senior International Correspondent Tom Ellis.

“…in order to be able to project effectively its interests in the region, the US needs to have allies and partners in the region that share the same values and concerns; dependable allies that provide a front line for the advancement of democratic principles and that help to promote peace and stability in this important region,” Larigakis said. “Greece, Israel and Cyprus are countries that fit this description.”
