WASHINGTON, DC—On May 1, 2007, a delegation from the island of Crete, Greece visited the American Hellenic Institute’s headquarters, the Hellenic House. Leading the delegation was Serafeim Tsokas, General Secretary, Region of Crete. He was accompanied by Giorgios Papadakis, Prefect of Rethymnon and Grigoris Archontakis, Prefect of Chania.
The delegation was escorted to AHI by AHI DC member and local PanCretan Association member Ted Manousakis. The delegation was briefed by AHI Executive Director Nick Larigakis on AHI and its activities and a conversation ensued regarding possible areas of mutual cooperation between AHI and the business community of the island of Crete.
