The American Hellenic Institute expresses its deep sorrow on the passing of Archbishop of Athens and All Greece Christodoulos.
A Hierarch of high spiritual integrity, the Archbishop brought a renewed spirit and enthusiasm in reaching out to the people of Greece to spread the teachings of Orthodoxy. Through his leadership the Church made a special effort to resonate with the youth and to apply the teachings of Orthodoxy to the contemporary issues of the day.
Archbishop Christodoulos’ contributions to Orthodoxy and to Greece will forever define his great legacy.
May His Memory Be Eternal!
